When commissioning an ink drawing, you can be as specific as you like.  For the above image, the client wanted "Max in his wolf costume, with several of the Wild Things, and a quote from page 29 of the book." Another client simply asked for butterflies and flowers, and as an afterthought added that she would really like mostly pink and yellow. I can work with your idea, no matter how vague or specific it is.
